From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.4 miles. Turn left onto George McAllister Road and park. Walk NW along US20 for about 310', then turn and walk cross-country, W along the boundary between Jefferson and Deschutes County for about 0.3 mile to WAYMARK WMQYDA. Turn left and walk S along a well-maintained barbed-wire fence to the corner. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present sixteenth corner bears S1.0°E from WAYMARK WMQYDA, 1326' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on galvanized steel pipe; rising 5"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The monument is at a SW-facing, inside corner of a well-maintained barbed wire fence. There is a PROPERTY BOUNDARY and another faded sign mounted on a T-post next to the monument. Found two ponderosa pines with healed blazes. Both have LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs, and the SW tree also has a yellow BEARING TREE tag.

the section SW of the corner is private property; else Deschutes National Forest
