South Guildford Cemetery was established in 1888 and the first interment taking place the following year. The cemetery is unusual as it is bisected by a major road with Anglican burials on the south side and others to the north side. Many of the buials at the original Guildford Cemetery, WMQFXD, were resumed when the road was widened and re-intered here
