Southern Pacific Railroad Depot - Nacogdoches, TX - U.S. National Register of Historic Places on Waymarking.com

The Houston East and West Texas Railway Company was chartered on March 11, 1875. In 1882 rails finally arrived in Nacogdoches. In October 1899 the Southern Pacific Company gained control of the HE&WT. The original wood depot burned and Southern Pacific built a new brick one.

August of 1954 Southern Pacific terminated passenger services through Nacogdoches.
