Leeds originally had 6 similar boundary stones but only 3 now survive. This eastern stone is now incorporated into the boundary wall of Leeds Minster which stands on one of the oldest roads into the centre of Leeds. The stone would probably have been incorporated into a gateway on the old road. There is a blue plaque next to the stone with the following text.
