This station a USC&GS standard bench mark disk, is located in Stonington, CT. It is set in a ledge outcrop close to the north curb of West Broad Street (U.S. Rt. 1):

STATION DESCRIPTION

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1965
AT PAWCATUCK.
AT PAWCATUCK, ABOUT 0.4 MILE SOUTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 1 FROM
THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 2, SET ON THE TOP AND NEAR THE
SOUTH END OF A LARGE MASS OF BEDROCK, ABOUT 0.1 MILE EAST OF A
Y JUNCTION AND A LARGE SOLDIER MONUMENT, 22.5 FEET NORTH OF THE
NORTH CURB OF MORGAN STREET, 2.2 FEET NORTH OF THE SOUTH END OF
THE EXPOSED PORTION OF THE BEDROCK AND 2 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF
THE HIGHWAY.

The description is adequate, with the exception of an error relating to Morgan Street. The mark is in fact 22.5-ft north from the north curb of W. Broad St.
