STATION DESCRIPTION
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1965
1.2 MI NE FROM STONINGTON.
1.1 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 1 A FROM THE OVERPASS OVER
THE NEW YORK, NEW HAVEN AND HARTFORD RAILROAD AT STONINGTON,
THENCE 0.05 MILE EAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 1, 95 YARDS EAST OF THE
EAST END OF THE BRIDGE OVER OXECOSSET BROOK, SET ON THE TOP AND
6 FEET SOUTH OF THE NORTH LEDGE OF A LARGE AREA OF EXPOSED
BEDROCK, 66 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 44 FEET
SOUTHWEST OF POWER LINE POLE NO. 120, 14 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE
WEST END OF A LARGE BOULDER AND 2 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE
HIGHWAY.
