This war memorial stone cross was originally erected to commemorate the Men of The Leeds Rifles regiments who died in World War I.

It takes the form of a stone cross with hexagonal tapered column on 4-step plinth set in the wall of churchyard of Leeds Parish Church above a stone bench.

The memorial was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who also designed the Cenotaph in London.

The memorial has had the date of the Second World War added.

There are two inscriptions on the memorial.
