It caused great excitement in the UK when it was announced that the early stages of the Tour de France would be held in England.

Stage 1 of the race started in Leeds city centre an in order to celebrate some of the utility boxes in Leeds city centre were painted to depict scenes from the route.

This one represents Stage 21, the final stage, that ran on Sunday July 21st in France from Evry to Paris Champs-Elysees, a total of 137.5km.

It stands on the south side of the Headrow at the corner with Vicar Lane.
