I located an online obit for Ken Hermer and it reads:

Kenneth Alan HERMER Kenneth Alan Hermer, 32, passed away August 4, 2003 in Arlington, Washington. He was born April 15, 1971 in Long Beach, California. He had lived in Port Angeles for the past 3 years and was in transition back to California.

Ken graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach in 1989 and from Orange Coast College in 1992. He was a professional photographer, landscaper and wholesale flower grower. Ken loved surfing, fishing, photography, snowboarding, gardening, hiking, camping, his friends, his dog Boo, music and lilacs.

He leaves his mother, Janet Hermer of Huntington Beach, CA., his father and step-mother, Alan and Sandy Hermer of Huntington Beach, CA., his sisters, Linda Hermer-Vazquez of Brooklyn, New York and Laura Hermer of Missouri City, Texas and his niece, Zoe Hermer-Cisek of Missouri City, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held August 16, 2003 at 8:00 a.m. at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 20444 Magnolia Ave., Huntington Beach, CA. 92646. Phone 714-962-3333. If so desired in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alano Club, 2040 Placentia Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA. 92627. Phone: 949-646-6426.
