This Victorian post box is wall mounted in the end of a farm barn in the small vilage of Cressbrook..

The village originally grew up around a water powered cotton mill, but since that closed the village population has declined, but the post box is still in use.

Stands near to a junction of roads. The main road runs parallel with the river Wye, and a minor road that crosses the river.
