Although the restaurant does sell other types of food it's main speciality is steaks.

According to their website "We use the best naturally reared beef, dry aged and cooked to your liking" link

The restaurant's building, Waterloo House', is a Grade II* listed building and was originally built in 1777 as assembly rooms for textile merchants and contained a ballroom, gaming and refreshment rooms. At one time was a much bigger building, but was partly demolished when a railway viaduct was built circa 1865. link
