The Irish Merchant Navy Memorial lies alongside the River Liffey in Dublin. It is located at City Quay at the junction with Lombard Street East. A broken anchor stands in front of the granite pillar that displays the names of those killed.

The Irish War Memorials website tells us about the memorial:
Oblong granite pillar on stepped base, with an old anchor upright in front. Width appx. 200cms, depth appx 100cms, height appx.800cms.
Above the names is the inscription:
In honour of the
seamen lost while
serving on Irish
merchant ships
The shank of the anchor is the full height of the granite pillar. The left fluke is complete whilst that to the right is missing.
