"Der Fackelträger" am Thing-Platz (auch Sonnwendplatz genannt) ist eine 5 m hohe, martialisch-muskulöse Gestalt des nach der NS-Ideologie zu züchtenden arischen „Herrenmenschen“. Die Inschrift auf der Reliefplatte lautet:
