Obvody kmenu ( ve výšce 130cm nad zemí) jsou 2,85m, 1,99m, 3,24m a 2,76m (mereno v roce 2013).
Ochranná pásma mají tvar kruhu o polomerech 9,1m, 6,3m, 10,3m a 8,8m (mereno v roce 2013), ve kterém není dovolena žádná pro památný strom škodlivá cinnost.
Památné stromy je zakázáno poškozovat, nicit a rušit v prirozeném vývoji a jejich ošetrování je možné jen se souhlasem orgánu ochrany prírody, který ochranu vyhlásil.

V prostoru okolo dnešního námestí Vojtešky Matyášové byla dríve družstevní ctvrt železnicních zrízencu. Námestí prošlo nekolika zmenami názvu (Tusarovo, Železnicáru, Tusarovo, Mladé gardy). Od roku 1991 je námestí pojmenováno po vojtešce Matyášové (1894-1975), která pusobila jako dlouholetá ucitelka v Reckovicích a dále jako kulturní, sociální pracovnice a kronikárka obce.
Jírovec má puvod na Balkánu a v Malé Asii. Dnes je pestován jako okrasný a parkový strom témer v celé Evrope (vyjímku tvorí severní Evropa). Barvivo, které je obsazeno v listech, kure a slupkách plodu, se dríve využívalo k barvení látek. Nektar z kvetu je bohatý na cukry, proto se jedná o duležitý strom pro vcelare. Nezralé plody obsahují saponiny, které jsou ve vetším množství jedovaté. Užívaly se v lidovém lécitelství pro výrobu mastí. Drevo je využíváno ve stavebnictví a k výrobe nábytku.

In the area around today's square Vojtešky Matyášová was formerly cooperative district railway attendants. Square has undergone several name changes (Tušarová, Železnicáru Tusarova, Young Guard). Since 1991, the square was named after the alfalfa Matyášová (1894-1975), who worked many years as a teacher in Reckovice as well as cultural, social worker and chronicler of the village.
The chestnut originates in the Balkans and Asia Minor. Today, it is grown as an ornamental tree and parks nearly everywhere in Europe (Exceptions Northern Europe). The dye, which is contained in the leaves, bark and fruit peels, was previously used for dyeing. Nectar from flowers is rich in sugars, so this is an important tree for beekeepers. Immature fruits contain saponins which are toxic in larger quantities. They were used in folk medicine for ointments. Wood is used in construction and furniture industry.
