The Spirit of Sport sculpture was unveiled in 2001 to commemorate the centenary of Federation.The sculpture is in the grounds of the John Landy Field ,Geelong's athletic venue, named after John Landy the second person to break the four minute mile at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver, B.C.
