On Point Productions in Binghamton has been considering purchasing the building for years and the company is finally in the beginning stages of the process."
“Well the theater is one of the longstanding treasures that the community had to offer from years ago,” said CEO Damien Cornwell. “The old theaters are awesome and they’re such great landmarks and sources of inspiration and memories for people that were once here years ago when I was a kid. It’s shameful that these theaters in town -- whether it be the Cameo or the Strand or any of the classic theaters -- are just left vacant. We just thought if we could do something for the city of Binghamton, that should be something we do.”
