The former Geelong Synagogue was designed in the Classical Revival style by John Young.The foundation stone was laid on 22 July 1861 and the Synagogue was consecrated on 1 December 1861.
This building replaced an earlier wooden building also erected at the corner of Yarra and McKillop Streets, Geelong, which was consecrated on 1 June 1854.
The building ceased being used for the intended purpose in 1984 and is now used for offices
Status: Converted to other use
