The former Bank of New South Wales was built in 1937/38 in the interwar Stripped Classical and Modern style. The Bank of New South Wales, later Westpac, occupied the building until 1999, subsequently the ground floor has been a fast food outlet and now is a Telecom office, the top two floors are used as apartments.
