This Benchmark is mounted vertically on the wall of the Crawfordsville Municipal building, on the south west corner, of the west facing wall, just below the dated cornersone. The Municipal Building is located at the north east corner of Water and Pike Streets, in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

It is stamped, US Coast & Geodetic Survey C 96 1934. The cornerstone, above, is dated April 7, 1933.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1946:

AT CRAWFORDSVILLE, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, AT THE INTERSECTION OF WATER AND PIKE STREETS, AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, IN THE WEST FACE NEAR THE SOUTHWEST CORNER, 1 FOOT BELOW THE BASE OF THE CORNERSTONE, AND 4 INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND.
