There are several under-cover picnic tables, with a nice grassed picnicking ground. A track leads along the river edge, to where a side creek enters, and local kayakers use it in a slalom course - believe it, or not!

The plaque reads:
Darawank War Memorial Park
Dedicated to those who served
their country and to the peace
we enjoy as a result of their
sacrifices
by
Mark Vaile M.P. 10th November 1995
