Parkis ran the general store and post office. His house was in an area beyond the village center that many of the independent business man were concentrated.

The house once a single family home has been converted to a multi family home, however the conversion has not taken away the great styling of the Queen Anne home. The house features twin bump out windows on the first floor, a rear section with turret and interesting detail done on the trim. On the roof it supports a railing which is a nice finish to the house
