DE:In der Verbandsgemeinde Mendig gibt es in jeder Ortsgemeinde eine eigene Feuerwehreinheit, die als Freiwillige Feuerwehr der Verbandsgemeinde ehrenamtlich tätig wird.
In unserer Feuerwehr sind derzeit ca. 160 Feuerwehrleute aktiv, die jährlich zu etwa 120 Einsätzen alarmiert werden. Außerdem gibt es in all unseren Ortsgemeinden auch Jugendfeuer-wehren, die interessierte Kinder und Jugendliche spielerisch an das Thema "Freiwillige Feuerwehr" heranführen.
EN:In the municipality Mendig there in each municipality its own fire brigade unit, which is an honorary capacity as volunteer fire department of the municipality.
In our firefighters are currently about 160 active firefighters who are alarmed annually to about 120 missions. There are also youth fire-fight in all our local communities, the interested children and young playful "fire brigade volunteers" introduce them to the subject.
