V roce 2013 uplynulo 150 let od nekolikatýdenního nedobrovolného pobytu generála Mariana Langiewicze, diktátora polského Lednového povstání r. 1863, v našem meste.
Jeho pobyt bude pripomenut slavnostním odhalením generálovy busty a související výstavou v Muzeu mesta Tišnova. Zámer vznikl na základe obcanské iniciativy JUDr. Martina Chutného a mesta Tišnova.
Pripravovanou kulturní akcí chceme pripomenout nejen tuto významnou osobnost evropských dejin, ale i úzké Cesko – Polské vztahy a vzájemnou podporu v pohnutých casech 19. století. Po pádu tzv. Bachova absolutismu stáli Ceši pred otázkou dalšího smerování pri úsilí o dosažení národní svébytnosti. Radikální a ozbrojený odpor Poláku proti ruské, pruské i rakouské nadvláde byl ve své dobe obdivovaným aktem – prerostl v polské Lednové povstání a inspiroval politicky aktivní Cechy. Zejména mladší generace si prála reformy. Díky temto sympatiím proudily z Cech, Moravy a Slezska zbrane, strelivo, léky, ale také peníze na podporu povstání i jeho obetí. V Ceských zemích našly útocište tisíce jeho úcastníku. Rada povstalcu byla na našem území nedobrovolne držena v rakouských internacních táborech. Všem Polákum se Ceši snažili pomáhat.

Slavnostní odhalení busty probehne 24. 5. 2014 v 15 hodin v prostorách Pasáže Centrum na námestí Komenského 146. Výstava bude zahájena v Müllerove dome v 16 hodin téhož dne.
