CA SH 190 from Death Valley Junction has NGS BMs placed about every mile, for those willing to get off the road and hike a few dozen yards into the desert for them. Many still sport original wooden witness posts and wooded frames.
This BM is located south of Borax Mill Rd. It appears to have the original 1942 wooden witness post from GS 0251 L 671, which is listed on Geocaching as destroyed, and as Not Found at the NGS.
