So small they do not even have a green population city limits sign. Population upon my visit was 46. As we say down here, "Just a wet spot in the road."

Not much here, but some oral tradition. Most of this from the lady running the current post office.
Founded 1848 Quincy was called Judy's Gap because of Samuel Judy's blacksmith shop that was located here. "Judy's Gap" was the first post office in Hickory County.
In 1858 to 1861 the Butterfield Stage stopped here. Just to the left of the Public Hall, across the gravel drive way and in front of the White House that stands there now, was a tavern, where the stage stopped for a meal and relay stop.
This station was Baldwin's, he also maintained a wagon yard, which is still marked today by his original gate.
