The modern Slatersville Finishing Company buildings fill up the hollow in the center of the village(L), the Green. Here also is the old wood building (1804) of the Slater enterprise, and the Stone Mill(1826) with a belfry. In the 19th century this bell was rung as curfew to warn youngsters off the streets at 9 P.M.
