This is the only arboretum located in the City of Sarnia, which is located on the Canada-U.S. border. The arboretum was planned about 40 years ago by a local city arborist and contains over 80 different species of trees and shrubs. Visitors to the area will also want to visit the Community Gardens, a local favourite for wedding pictures and walking groups.
The coordinates will place you in the parking lot at the entrance to the Germain Arboretum. Walk under the trellis and you will enter the park with the arboretum around you. Enjoy the variety of species, including Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Tsuga canadensis, Ginkgo biloba and many species of Acer.
