Neon doesn't have any bones, can't be buried, and can't die. So, why have a sign about a neon boneyard in sin city?

This sign if funny as it's explaining how an atomic element can die, which intact is in possible thanks to Einstein's E=mc^2 equation. Neon is a gas on earth, so it can't be buried in a boneyard. This sign is just too funny.
