No séc.

The Hermitage of Santa Catarina stands out for its unique castellated structure, which many authors attribute to a Templar affiliation, because according to some records was built by the Temple Order of the Knights-monks who participated in the reconquest of the stronghold of Monsaraz. It is located on the eastern side of the bottom of the hill, and has the form of hexagonal tower with 5.50m X 5.30 m interior measures.

The facade presents a simple model, open in the lower register by a straight frame portal, on which was ripped an oculus. The apse space is topped by a set of battlements that form a tower ever built in the sixteenth century. In the century. XVII was probably added the body of the ship, built in masonry and gabled roof.

Inside, the ship features a large space with Romanesque arch that allows access to the apse. This is covered by ogival dome, under which was torn a set of round arches topped by jagged frieze.
