From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 5.4 miles. Turn right onto FR11, Green Ridge Road, and continue for 3.8 miles. Turn left onto FR1110, continue 0.8 miles and park on the left at a trail kiosk. Hike counterclockwise for 2.0 miles on the Upper Butte Loop Trail #4093.1 to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: a firmly-bedded 16x9" stone; rising 8"

The following details were abstracted from FIELD NOTES of the survey of the Subdivisional Lines of Township 13 South Range 9 East, Willamette Meridian, Oregon, as surveyed by Thomas C. Judkins, U.S. Deputy Surveyor, under his Contract No. 421, dated September 23rd, 1881 p. 283 Run south between sections 22 and 23; At 80.00 chains, a point about 600 feet above last section corner, set a trap stone 18x16x12", 12" in ground for corner to sections 22, 23, 26 and 27 marked with 2 notches on E and S edges; p. 284 From which a pine 20" diameter bears N64°E, 63 links distant. marked "T13S R9E S23 BT"; A pine 24" diameter bears S35°E, 11 links distant marked "T13S R9E S26 BT"; A pine 24" diameter bears S12°W, 21 links distant marked "T13S R9E S27 BT"; A pine 20" diameter bears N80°W, 26 links distant marked "T13S R9E S22 BT" Compare the information in the FIELD NOTES with the present observations. The corner bears N, about 480' distant. Found four bearing trees at the expected locations. The trees are preserved as 5-6' tall sawed stumps, and for the most part, the scribing is still legible.
