Most folks don't think of Death Valley as a flower field, but come at the right time and you will be amazed by vast expanses of Desert Gold, Desert Ghost, Purple Mat, Desert Five-Spot and other rare flowers, some of which only bloom every few years or after big rains.
Park anywhere along the SH 190 through Death Valley, but stay on the paved road unless you are in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
The waymark coordinates are for the Furnace creek Visitor Center, where they can guide you to the places with the best flowers.
