This building, dated 1903, was constructed as the Squire Law Library. Today, it is connected to the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences and the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology with three entrance arches from Downing Street.

Along the Downing Street face of the building, above the tops of the arches, is a lengthy inscription that includes the date and is inscribed:

The building is Grade II listed with the entry at the Historic England website telling us:
Geological Museum, Law School and University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. By Sir T G Jackson. Red brick with stone dressings. The former Squire Law Library dominates the entrance block onto Downing Street with its three arched openings, wrought-iron gates in each arch. Three storeys and attics. Paired windows. Tiled roofs. Included inside the Museum is the old Winchester Cathedral choir screen by Inigo Jones.
