A rather shabby pub sign in need of some restoration, but that can be forgiven somewhat, as there is a rather splendid carved coat of arms over another entrance to the building.

"A very friendly, unspoilt and unashamed, old fashioned drinking establishment. Situated to the west of the town centre this pub is a real survivor and it's furniture dates from a previous era. Having a large wide screen television the pub is extremely busy when rugby and football tournaments are in progress."
