This timeline is located on a large plaque on top of Hoover dam, near the elevators that used to take tourists to the AZ power plant.

Two years after construction started, lots of concrete had already been poured here in diversion tunnels, spillways, and other support structures. But the first bucket of concrete for the dam itself was poured on 6 June 1933.

The relevant chronological portion of the plaque reads as follows:

"UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT, PRESIDENT
HAROLD L ICKES, SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR
BOULDER CANYON PROJECT
