You drive up from Captains Flat on a gravel road & from the parking area ascend 23 concrete steps to the remains of the mine's buildings & then a short walk to the lookout. The platform is built above the miners' change rooms although only the footings remain.
There are views over the township & looking above & behind, the wheel house of the mine shaft. There is a You Are Here map on the lookout but no actual sign.
