Zásmuky is a small market town in Kolín District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, located ca 16 km SW of Kolín. Zásmuky, firstly mentioned in 1285 AD, has 1855 citizens (census 2014) and cadastral area 8.51 km².
The historic transformer sub-station is unusual thanks to neo-Gothic style and is preserved as a technical monument. This 7 m high tower-type sub-station, one of the oldest preserved in Czech lands, was built by the town in 1914. The year of the construction and town's coat of arms decorate western wall of the sub-station.
