[DE] "Der in den Jahren 1468 bis 1472 gebaute Zwölferturm (ital: Torre delle dodici) ist mit einer Höhe von 46 Metern das höchste Gebäude von Sterzing (ital: Vipiteno) und damit ein Wahrzeichen der Stadt in Südtirol.
Im Oktober 1867 brannte der ursprüngliche gotische Sitzhelm ab. 1868 wurde der heutige steinerne Treppengiebel aufgesetzt. Zunächst diente der Turm als oberes Stadttor und war später für viele Jahre Sitz der Feuerwehr.
Besichtigt werden kann der Turm im Rahmen des Weihnachtsmarktes von Ende November bis Anfang Januar."
