Kostel svatého Jana Krtitele je rímskokatolický chrám v obci Telnice v okrese Brno-venkov. Je chránen jako kulturní památka Ceské republiky. Je farním kostelem telnické farnosti.y autobusu.

Na míste soucasného kostela stával románsko-gotický chrám zrejme z prelomu 13. a 14. století, z nehož se dochovala vež. Nový barokní kostel byl postaven v letech 1726–1734, lod má tvar latinského kríže, presbytár je pulkruhový.

V chrámu se nachází tri oltáre z první poloviny 18. století, bocní jsou zasveceny svatému Kríži a svatému Antoninu Paduánskému, hlavní svatému Janu Krtiteli. Cihlová valená krypta má tvar L, jsou zde tri drevené malované rakve. Náhrobní vstupní kámen mel kdysi nápis, byl sešlapaný a v roce 1995 prekrytý mramorovou dlažbou. V kostele je renesancní kamenná krtitelnice pozdeji natrená mramorováním, které bylo sejmuto. Varhany jsou z 18. století, puvodne z rajhradského kláštera. V mobiliári kostela se nachází renesancní stríbrný, zlacený kalich a ciborium z let 1696 a 1734. Celý kostel byl v 19. století vymalován výjevy ze života Ježíše Krista a doplnen drevorezbami na sloupech.

Kolem kostela se do roku 1793 nacházel hrbitov.

Church of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic church in the village of Telnice in the district Brno-Country. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. It is the parish church Telnice farnosti.y bus.

On the site of the present church became a Romanesque-Gothic temple probably from the 13th and 14th centuries, from which the tower survived. The new Baroque church was built between 1726-1734, the ship has the shape of a Latin cross, the presbytery is semicircular.

In the church there are three altars from the 18th century, the side dedicated to the Holy Cross and St. Anthony of Padua, the main St. John the Baptist. Brick barrel vault has the shape of an L, there are three painted wooden coffins. Tombstone stone entrance once had an inscription was worn out and in 1995 covered with marble tiles. The church is a renaissance font later painted marbling, which has been removed. The organ from the 18th century, originally from Rajhrad monastery. The furniture of the church is the Renaissance silver gilt chalice and ciborium from the years 1696 and 1734. The entire church was in the 19th century painted scenes from the life of Jesus Christ and supplemented by wood carvings on the pillars.

The church is in a cemetery in 1793.
