A 3rd order cut benchmark on the north west corner of St Catharine's church tower, Houghton on the Hill.

The church of St Catharine stands near the south-west end of Main Street. It is built of ironstone with limestone dressings and consists of chancel, nave, north and south aisles, north and south porches, and a west tower, probably 14th century, surmounted by a spire, which is listed as an intersected station.
