Located in front of the Roseburg City Hall are a mosaic salmon sculpture and an interpretive display. They are part of a public art project. In 2010, community volunteers with the Ford Family Foundation’s Ford Institute Leadership Program placed eight salmon sculptures and educational plaques in the Roseburg general area. The Salmon Sculpture Project is intended to enhance Roseburg’s visibility and livability while also fostering community understanding and appreciation of salmon and their habitats. PUR sponsored the project by authoring and funding the salmons’ educational plaques.

This interpretive display highlights the relationship between salmon and water for survival.
