A unique city, situated along the San Andreas Fault. Today, it's mainly famous for it's ski resorts during the winter. It was a popular tourist destination in the early 1900s when big movie stars vacationed here in the winter.
"Wrightwood, 113.1m (6,000 alt., 50 permanent pop.) is a summer and winter vacation area whose small permanent population seasonly swells to more than 1,500. A steep-roofed rustic lodge (rates reasonable) faces the road (R)."
