Un obélisque en hommage au poète Québécois Canadien Émile-Nelligan. Née à Montréal en 1879. Prodigieusement doué cette écrivain nous a laissé une œuvre d'une étonnante vitalité. Il a créé plus de 170 poèmes publié dans les journaux et en recueilles. En 1897 il devient membres de L'École littéraire de Montréal. Les poèmes de Nelligan peuvent être regroupés autour de quatre grands thèmes: l'enfance, la musique, l'amour et la mort. L'édition de son œuvre en 1904 a marqué le tournant dans l'histoire de la poésie québécoise: le passé et la patrie cédaient la place au présent et à la conscience de l'artiste.
Cinquième édition de son œuvre en 1952 le fut accueilli avec enthousiasme au Canada et en France. Son œuvre reste encore bien actuel.
Sur l'obélisque se retrouve un médaillon en bronze du visage en relief du poète Émile-Nelligan. Une plaque où le poème " Premier Remords" et une deuxième plaque du poème " Soir D'hiver" tout deux gravés et insérer dans l'obélisque. Cet obélisque en l'honneur au poète est installé au centre d'une aire de repos avec chaises sur muret de ciment. Quelques espaces gazonnés avec arbustes et une allée mènent à la bibliothèque Émile-Nelligan également.

A tribute to the obelisk Canadian Québécois poet Émile Nelligan. Born in Montreal in 1879. Tremendously gifted this writer left a work of astonishing vitality. He created more than 170 poems published in newspapers and recueilles. In 1897 he became member of the Literary School of Montreal. Nelligan's poems can be grouped around four themes: childhood, music, love and death. The edition of his work in 1904 marked the turning point in the history of Quebec poetry: the past and the country gave way to the present and the consciousness of the artist.
Fifth edition of his work in 1952 was greeted with enthusiasm in Canada and France. His work is still very present.
On the obelisk finds a bronze medallion embossed face of the Émile-Nelligan poet. A plaque where the poem "First Remorse" and a second plate of the poem "Winter Evening" while two engraved and insert into the obelisk. This obelisk in honor of the poet sits in the center of a rest area with chairs on cement wall. Some turf areas with shrubs and a driveway leading to the Émile-Nelligan library also.
