Ethel Louise Treas (nee Wilke) is buried at Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery, Fredericksburg TX under a tombstone provided by the Woodmen of the World affiliate for women, Woodman's Circle.
Unlike most of the tombstones in this older section of the cemetery, hers is in the English language, reflecting the predominant German culture in Fredericksburg.
Her tombstone reads as follows:
"[Woodmen's Circle emblem]

Per Carol Meyers, Ethel Louise was raised by her grandparents, Friedrich (Fritz) and Amalia Wilke in Gillespie County. Ethel died in 1918, a week after Armistice Day with the terrible flu of that year. She married Sgt. Salon Treas, was in Prescott, AZ, when she died, but is buried in Fredericksburg, Der Friedhof Cemetery."
