In 1984, the olympics were hosted by the City of Los Angeles. Among other venues, the Stanford Stadium was a secondary location.
This location was used for the preliminary rounds for football(soccer).
Originally built in 1921, the Stanford Stadium underwent a massive renovation starting in Nov 2005 and ending in Sept 2006. It will continue to be the home field for the Stanford football team.
Parking is best obtained by turning onto Eucalyptus from Galvez St.
