The Grave of Meshack Browning
(1781-1859)
Born at Damascus, Maryland. Garrett
County's most famous hunter, Browning
wrote the book, "Forty-Four Years
Of The Life Of A Hunter." During
this time he killed two thousand
deer and five hundred bear.
