This mural was painted on a wall in a small village not far from Vila das Pombas, island of Santo Antão. It's not a large mural, but shows the respect the South African leader deserves in Cape Verde. Actually, the main airport of the country was named after him.
In the mural Nelson Mandela was painted in tones of blue and black, and faces the by passer with his left fist raised. His expression reveals serenity and peace.
