Apart from having to traverse a soft sandy section of pathway, there are also a few steps at the 'zigzag' in the Boardwalk, and further up the hill to the headland.
The boardwalk has wooden rails, to ensure the pedestrian does not go haphazardly onto the 'steep' grassy slope, which could end up at a rocky, and fairly sheer cliff.
There are a couple of interpretative signs along the way for flora, and fauna of the area. There is also one for the historic significance of the Midden site (nearer the car park) of the earliest 'settlers', the indigenous locals. The car park coordinates at the Cabarita Beach Lions Park are: S28° 20.185' E153° 34.480'. Initially I put down that the length of the boardwalk is 400 m, but that includes the sandy path going through the Tweed Heads Coast Reserve, to the headland, including the boardwalk.
There are great views from the headland, to the beaches north [Norries Cove] and to the south [Maggies Beach]. Unfortunately I found 'no sign of' the trigonometric station, known as "Norries Head", TS10117 near the Dedicated Bench to Samuel Zietlow - -28.336165 153.577611
