St Julian's Clock - A single faced, chiming tower clock, mounted facing South on the 12th Century bell tower. The clock was probably erected in the 1870-1880s. The Church clock is over Six feet across, with gold painted hour & minute hands, Roman numeral figures, & train track minute dividers. The face plate has a faded Mother of Pearl appearance, with a spiral pattern at the center.
St Julian's Church - was built on the foundations of a Saxon church. Only the 12th Century Tower remains of its medieval origins, the nave being rebuilt in the 1770's.
This Church has been privately owned since 1980, and has recently been returned to public worship.
"St Julian's church is one of the four Saxon foundations in Shrewsbury. The tower dates from the 12th century whereas the present nave was designed by Thomas Farnolls Pritchard who also designed the Iron Bridge at Telford. Pritchard was born in Shrewsbury and baptised in St Julian's Church on 11 May 1723.
