Some characterful gargoyles that squat below the parapets; the one on the east side of the south porch appears to be carrying a rugby ball!
Many of the original gargoyles have been extended in recent times with long metal chutes. In medieval times thay were not so efficient, often just dribbling the water down the walls of the church.
The church is notable for the height of its tower, the carved wooden angels in the roof, and its particularly well preserved painted rood screen.
