Octagonal 19th century font with encircled quatrefoils and tracery motifs at the west end of the church near the south entrance.
The church itself dates from the 12th century, with its round tower with distinctive carstone detailing. The nave is 14th century, but the church was greatly restored in the 18th century when the Preston family of Beeston Hall took it upon themselves to turn the church into their mausoleum. During this time the interior received its ceiling with Gothic panelling, which imitates that in the entrance of Beeston Hall.
